A lot of people mistake Zelda for a role-player, I think just because of the Tolkien-esque setting, but that’s not the case.
Although Skyrim doesn’t really have many proper puzzles, it obviously has a role-playing element and I think it should be embraced by my theoretical Zelda as well. The other point of reference would obviously be Skyrim. Zelda isn’t quite as restrictive about how and when it can use new weapons and equipment to open up new areas, but it still works roughly the same way. The term Metroidvania is very prevalent nowadays, which means it is something completely different, but in reality it is not. Metroid and Zelda have always been similar styles of play. I suggest using Metroid Prime as inspiration and thus creating a new twist on the Zelda formula. Most modern 3D games have the option of viewing the world from a first-person perspective but this is usually static and rarely used or useful. Other than targeting a bow and arrow, and Odd Link’s crossbow training, Zelda games have never really experimented with first person.
ZELDA BREATH OF THE WILD CASE NO GAME SERIES
It rocked the series in a way that probably no other franchise has ever done and I’m sure Nintendo would want to do the same thing again Maybe for the next Zelda, which I imagine while the Switch will be there for 2. Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Zelda: Majora’s Mask are some of the best games ever made, and there’s every reason to hope that the next Breath of the Wild will be the same.Īlthough Breath of the Wild was such a huge hit-much bigger than any previous Zelda-it was something completely different. Some of Nintendo’s best games have come from projects that were initially intended only as an expansion or quick sequel, which reuse existing assets. We can see that from the trailers that have been released so far, even though it’s clear that the game has moved on from an accelerated expansion pack genre sequel. I’m sure the game will be great, but I also expect it to be similar to the previous game. Like every Nintendo fan I’m eagerly waiting for the sequel to Zelda: Breath of the Wild (and preparing myself for another potential delay). One reader suggests using Metroid Prime and Skyrim for inspiration in the next Zelda after Breath of the Wild 2.
